STAGE ONE
Day
ONE: Most of it will remain the same, but the last 10-15
miles... that will bring the finish through almost pure single track, increasing
the stage to almost 75 miles instead of the 63 of 2008, that went from Rosarito
Beach to Santa Veronica (Tecate) 75 miles, Total Ascent 8,000+ ft, Total
Descent 5,000+ ft.
Starts on the Beach, in front of Rosarito Beach Hotel, heads out
of town via the Rosarito Canyon, across Blvd. 2000, to the infamous Tequila
Hill, straight to Valle de las Palmas, to Rancho Viejo, Peņa Blanca, through the
old King of the Mountain Course and Finish at Hacienda Santa Veronica.

STAGE TWO
Were connecting the dots to make a nice 40 to 50 mile
(almost 90% single track) course loop within the surroundings of Hacienda Santa
Veronica.
STAGE THREE
Will leave from Santa Veronica to Ojos Negros as in 2008.
But we're trying to avoid as much SAND as possible. So there's a good chance
we'll go straight to Ojos without passing through Laguna Hanson and make it a 65
mile day istead of almost 80.
STAGE FOUR
Day Three: Valle de la Trinidad up to Mike's Sky Ranch and back to Valle
de la Trinidad , 53 Miles. Total Ascent 6,850 ft., total Descent 7,807 ft.
Starts
at the entrance to Mike's Sky Ranch on Hwy 3, after a 1 Hour 45 minutes shuttle
from Ensenada to the Sierra foothills. Half way it's a steady climbing to Mike's
then a gnarly rocky trail towards EL COYOTE ranch, to turn back north at the
SIMPSON down hill, some of the toughest Off-Road Courses of the infamous Baja
1000 race. A few struggling sections of soft sand will lead you back to the
finish at Valle de la Trinidad. Shuttles will start departing back to Ensenada
as the fill up.

STAGE FIVE
Day Four: Wine 2 Lobster Run... Yes! Finally We got it done... We want to thank Mr. Ismael Yagues, Mr. Jaime Crosthwaite and Mr. German Reyes, for letting us use their private property for this race. MUCHAS GRACIAS!!! This stage will start at the Wine Country at Valle de Guadalupe, and head straight to the Lobster Village in Rosarito Beach. With a total race course of 45 miles, Total Ascent 3,236 ft., total Descent 4,310 ft. SORRY to all the riders that it took us so long, but I think it was worth the wait... we finally got the approval to run for the first time ever, a course straight from the Wine Country to the Lobster Village. Let me tell you that in 25 years, that I been riding around the BAJA, this time we have a straight shot to the Ocean. Maybe one of the best fastest courses I ever done, as far as distance and enjoyable. I think this will be very much appreciated after a long difficult 3 prior stages across the Baja. THE COURSE... well expect a nice easy ride back to the coast. And get ready to party as you deserve! A Nice bottle of Wine and a fresh Lobster awaits you!
Here's some video footage of
parts of the course:
Across the Mesa before reaching the Ocean
After crossing the Highway towards the Finish, a little
Beach run!
